Medical equipments for the treatment of patients suffering from haemophilia was inaugurated on Tuesday, March 11, by Deputy Consul-General, of Japan, Mitsutake Numahata.

KOLKATA: Medical equipments for the treatment of patients suffering from haemophilia was inaugurated on Tuesday, March 11, by Deputy Consul-General, of Japan, Mitsutake Numahata. The equipments were purchased under financial assistance from the Japanese government. Among those present were, Sushil Kumar Todi, and Achintya Mukherjee of Haemophilia Society, Calcutta Chapter.

Under Japanese Government’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects(GGP) Scheme, Numahata will signed a grant contract with the Society, for an amount of US Dollar $ 75,254 two years ago. Since then, the organization has utilized this grant for the procurement of Medical Equipments for the treatment of haemophilia affected patients. The equipments will benefit around 850 patients.
